A 360 campaign about me. An original idea? No. Not in the slightest. It does solve two problems at once however. First, it shows that I can identify and highlight how a particular service benefits a customer base. Second, it demonstrates that I can write copy for a variety of channels.

A series of misplays by Wizards of the Coast, owner of Dungeons & Dragons, left the tabletop roleplaying game space open for new games to gobble up market share. Draw Steel is a game that eliminates many of the pain points in Dungeons & Dragons. There’s no missing when you attack monsters for example. This campaign aims to highlight this and attract customers who are looking for a new game that maintains the emotional content of Dungeons & Dragons, but without the rules that make the game feel bad.

The campaign aims to reach potential customers where they are: at game stores, on the internet, and at gaming conventions.

A poster highlighting the problems with many ttrpgs that Draw Steel solves. This would be sent to game stores carrying Draw Steel for display. It gives the audience a sense of the tone of the game and what problems it eliminates, which is important to someone shopping for an alternative to Dungeons & Dragons.

A scrolling banner to advertise where ttrpgs are sold online, DriveThruRPG for example. It emphasizes the defining characteristics of Draw Steel in a few phrases and ends with a call to action.

A script or handout for staff or volunteers working a convention booth. It provides the answer to common questions that people interested in a new ttrpg will ask. What sets this game apart from others? What’s the initial investment? How hard is it to get started? How hard is it to play with other people?
